Iowa state Rep. and US House candidate Lindsay James says roughly 300,000 Iowans rely on unregulated private wells as the state grapples with elevated nitrate levels in its water and nation-high cancer rates.
James also criticized corporations seeking legal protections from pollution lawsuits and called for stronger action to clean up Iowa’s waterways.
