Republican gubernatorial candidate Zach Lahn says Iowa needs more water quality monitors, not fewer.
The sensor network in the state has come under fire as Republicans in the state legislature have tried to cut off funding to the network.
“We can’t fix what we’re not monitoring,” Lahn told reporters after his speech at the Des Moines Register Political Soapbox at the Iowa State Fair. “I don’t think this should be a partisan issue.”
