Under HF 2586, armed staffers would undergo a one-time “in-person legal training, including training on qualified immunity, annual emergency medical training,” and annual communication training. Iowa Sen. Sarah Trone-Garriott (D-West Des Moines) says that is not nearly enough to ensure Iowa kids’ safety.
