No cold calls: 6 ways to get out the vote as an introvert

Maybe you’re an introvert, avoid social situations, or just don’t like the idea of door-knocking, cold-calling, and meeting people. But you’re still hyped up for the election, and want to get out the vote for your favorite candidate. What to do?

Here are six actions you can take to help:

Writing postcards

Many get-out-the-vote organizations and campaigns include postcards as part of their strategy for reaching voters.

Texting voters

Many advocacy groups and campaigns offer text banking as an option for volunteers.

Posting and delivering signs

You can put up signs around town, or deliver yard signs to voters who have requested them.

Posting on social media

You can help a campaign by expressing support for them online and telling people why a candidate has your vote.

Just ask

Campaigns could need help with things they don’t list online like picking up materials from stores or providing IT assistance.

You never know where your skills may come in handy!

Donating

If none of these options sounds like a good fit for you, you can always consider donating to a candidate’s campaign or holding an online fundraiser.
