Former President Donald Trump and his campaign continue to troll Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds over her support of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

DeSantis is one of Trump’s opponents in the Republican presidential primary.

Trump’s campaign released a minute-long ad on Saturday that only featured Reynolds heaping countless praise on Trump during previous campaign rallies when the two were on better terms.

The ad begins with Reynolds standing next to Trump and thanking him while he looks on approvingly.

“On behalf of all Iowans, I want to say thank you. Thank you for cutting taxes for hardworking Iowans, for eliminating senseless regulation that stifled innovation and jobs,” Reynolds said.

In the next segment, on-screen text appears and quotes an NBC article that says, “Trump Maintains Commanding Lead In Iowa Poll,” while an old clip of Reynolds talking about how much she loves Trump and his administration plays.

“It’s an administration of action and outcomes, and the list is long,” Reynolds said before crediting the administration for lowering taxes and unemployment while securing the US southern border.

The video then cuts to Reynolds emphatically praising Trump for selecting conservative judges in the federal court system and Bret Kavanaugh to replace Anthony Kennedy on the US Supreme Court.

“Our farmers thank you, Iowans thank you, and we are grateful. Promises made, promises kept, the Midwest has a partner in the White House with President Donald J. Trump,” Reynolds said in the ad before it jumped to yet another clip of her lauding Trump.

Trump also personally made digs at Reynolds during his Saturday campaign stop in Ankeny.

“Your governor, I get along with her very well,” Trump said as a small amount of boos emanated from the crowd.

Trump then relayed the story of his appointment of former Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad to US ambassador to China. This elevated Reynolds from lieutenant governor to governor. Trump also endorsed Reynolds during her 2018 race and campaigned with her a week before the election, which she won by 3 points.

“I did a big rally, I did a big endorsement of her, I fought like hell and she ended up winning, right?” Trump said.

Trump also took credit for keeping Iowa first in the nation for the Republican primary. Between that and his previous support, Trump said he expected Reynolds to back him in the Iowa caucus, but after she initially vowed to stay neutral, she later endorsed DeSantis.

“How do you endorse somebody that’s 40 or 50 points down? There’s got to be something there,” Trump said alluding to Reynolds being eyed as a potential vice president pick by DeSantis. “That was her choice to do this, but I believe in loyalty.”

And, as he’s done before, Trump cited a Morning Consult poll that said Reynolds was the most unpopular governor in America.

“Six, seven months ago, she was the most popular governor in the country,” Trump said. “You know where she is now? Last. She went from most popular governor in the country to the least popular governor—and [DeSantis] is down at the bottom too.”
