Amie here. Did you know early voting in Iowa starts this week?
I’m a big fan of voting early in person: I can drive to the courthouse whenever it’s convenient for me, there’s usually NO line, and then I’m done! (And I’ll stop getting campaign calls and texts!)
Early in-person voting starts Wednesday, Oct. 14.
But it can be just as easy to vote by mail: Request an absentee ballot from your county, they send it to your home, and you mail it back (or drop it in the county’s drop box) by Election Day.
You have until next Monday, Oct. 19, to request a ballot be mailed to you.
Not registered to vote yet? You also have until Oct. 19 to preregister. (But don’t worry if you forget; in Iowa, you can register to vote at the polls on Election Day too.) Make sure you’re registered here.
