Despite fierce opposition over water use, pollution, traffic and other potential impacts, the Palo City Council voted 4-1 to OK a data center ordinance through its second reading.
The proposed project would be built near the Duane Arnold nuclear plant on land Google is seeking to have annexed into the city.
