Sometimes it just doesn’t feel right to leave Fido at home. But it can be hard to know which spots around Davenport (and the Quad Cities) welcome pups that aren’t service animals onto their premises.

Well, man’s (or woman’s) best friend is in luck. We came up with a list of spots all around town where you can bring your pooch along for the adventure. Most places only allow pets on the patio, but we’ve noted below places that allow dogs indoors. If you want to be sure, it’s always a good idea to call ahead and check with the establishment you want to visit. Otherwise, grab a leash and get out on the town to these dog-friendly spots.

Front Street Pub and Eatery & Front Street Brewery and Taproom

208 E River Dr, Davenport & 421 W. River Drive, Davenport

One of the oldest brewpubs in the state, Front Street offers two great dog-friendly spots. You can take your dog along to both Front Street Pub and Eatery and to the Brewery and Taproom to spend time on the outdoor patio. Don’t miss out on the brews (the Raging River IPA and Goldilocks Golden Ale are always favorites) and the pulled pork nachos while you are there. Plus, they always offer a 10% discount to active military service members, veterans, and first responders.

Grilled Cheese Bar

1019 Mound Street, Davenport

This tasty spot in the Villages of Davenport has a pet-friendly patio to enjoy. Grab a delectable grilled cheese. You can go classic or be more adventurous with several options on the menu. Plus, you can also try a mac flight (with four different mac and cheese options to sample!). The Grilled Cheese Bar also has a fun lineup of adult beverages to enjoy while you chill on the patio with your pooch.

Cafe Express

1507 E Locust St., Davenport

The Cafe Express is a great spot to stop and grab a sandwich on freshly baked bread. Pets must be on a leash and will have to wait outside while you go in to order, but they are welcome to sit with you at one of their two outdoor tables while you enjoy your lunch. Cafe Express has been around since 1987 and is truly a staple in the community.

Ruby’s Beers, Bikes, and Brats

429 E 3rd St, Davenport

(563) 949-4582

Head to Ruby’s Beers, Bikes, and Brats and bring Fido along to hang on the outdoor patio. This restaurant/recreational facility features delicious food (definitely grab a burger) and unique brews (32 craft beers to choose from!) alongside volleyball and pickleball courts. Oh, and there’s a bike repair shop, too. We’re sure this is a unique pet-friendly spot to hang for the day.

The Tangled Wood

3636 Tanglewood Rd., Bettendorf

This fun spot in Bettendorf is another place to check out. It’s a great gathering space, live music venue, and restaurant with delicious food and drinks. And pets are allowed but the staff at The Tangled Wood asks that you keep them in the grassy area. But check to see if there is live music, as they recommend you leave pets at home on those nights because it gets busy and loud. Otherwise, both you and your pup are sure to enjoy exploring the 8,000-square-foot “adult playground.”

Treehouse Pub and Eatery

2239 Kimberly Road, Bettendorf

Another spot in Bettendorf, Treehouse Pub and Eatery, welcomes dogs on their spacious outdoor deck. They have even been known to host dog parties on the patio. Grab some upscale pub fare to enjoy along with a few brews. The woodfired pizzas can’t be beat. And it’s conveniently located along the bike trail.

Crawford Brew Works

3659 Devils Glen Road, Bettendorf

(563) 332-0243

Swing by Crawford Brew Works if you are looking for a craft beer to enjoy and have your furry best friend along. Their dog-friendly patio is a great spot to hang out as the weather warms up but also features a fire pit for those cooler nights. And the view is great as well. Be sure to check the food truck lineup before you visit!
