Despite the devastating blow to the fight for reproductive freedom, Iowa advocates and care providers say they remain committed to helping Iowans find the care they need.

Francine Thompson, executive director of the Emma Goldman Clinic in Iowa City, said Iowa’s new near-total abortion ban will not stop the clinic from providing other forms of reproductive health care, like cancer screenings, regular check-ups, and birth control.

Ruth Richardson, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood North Central States, vowed to help Iowans navigate seeking reproductive health care as the near-total abortion ban closes in.

Planned Parenthood has several tools to aid in the search for abortion care, including online locators, digital guides to choosing care, and clinics in bordering states with less restrictive abortion regulations.
