The DNC will have a mobile billboard patrolling the outside of the Iowa Event Center on Saturday to call out Republican presidential candidates attending an Iowa Faith & Freedom Coalition event.
The ad specifically targets Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Ohio businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, US Sen. Tim Scott, former Vice President Mike Pence, and former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson. The highlights how some of the candidates have called to ban abortion, want to end Social Security and Medicare as they exist, and are “pushing an economic agenda based on MAGAnomics that would rig the economy for the ultra-rich and big corporations.”
“As 2024 Republicans descend on Iowa today, the DNC is making sure voters know about the MAGA agenda that they’re all running on,” said DNC Regional Press Secretary Jackie Bush in a release. “Every day, these GOP hopefuls are working to out-MAGA each other with the most extreme platform— from tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy and largest corporations to extreme abortion bans and gutting Medicare and Social Security.
“No matter who emerges from the primary, one thing is guaranteed—they will only have won by running to the right and establishing their MAGA bonafides with positions that are wildly out of step with the American people,” Bush continued.
