Nunn has been endorsed by several colleagues in the Iowa legislature, Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and Americans for Prosperity.

He says his top issues are the border and the military.

The Federal Election Commission’s most recent report showed Nunn had $223,290 on hand and raised $882,488 overall. Hasso raised $602,173 and the FEC report showed Leffler raised $0.

Axne has a significant edge with $2.8 million in cash on hand in the latest report, and nearly $4 million raised between Jan. 1, 2021 and May 18, 2022.

During the campaign, Nunn and his opponents focused most of their attention on Axne rather than each other. All three agreed on various issues including that abortion should be illegal without exception and that people arrested for the Jan. 6 insurrection have been unfairly treated.

Since 2019, Nunn has served in the Iowa Senate. Before that, from 2015-2019, he served in the Iowa House.

Before the legislature, Nunn served as an airborne intelligence officer in the US Air Force and served three deployments.
